I still like the 8 gig cards for most of our shooting. So much easier in post. Having smaller chunks of material is easier to manage and back-up.
I wouldn't mind having a couple bigger ones though for those times when you need it.

I would be bummed about paying the same for my 8 gig card as I can now get a 32 gig for, if I haven't paid for it many times over.
It's just the way things are.
