Heres the setup

Offloading to notebook (pc) using a PCMCIA to express card adapter.

16GB's P2 cards work fine, my 64 will not show up (def. has data on it - no diff than the 16s). Any idea why? These 64 is only a recent addition. Checked all the drivers etc and cant figure it - HELP!

I really, really hope theres not such a difference in R and A series cards that I am now up shi* creek. Cheers.

Update.

So here is whats strange. I reinstalled the p2 drivers but this time with the 64gb card in the slot. Once its all installed, it reads the card fine, P2 card manager reads the card fine and p2 viewer can see all the clips. I can remove the 64gb card and pop it back in and it reads it again and again no matter how many times I do this.

As soon as I pop in one of the 16gb cards, I can no longer read the 64gb cards, its all over.

Going to try this again. I will uninstall, reinstall same as above and in card manager this time Ill rename the 64gb cards - see if that helps.

Ok so utter strangeness ensues.

SO like above the 16s work fine. Its when I put in a 64 it doesnt. But again, if I install with the 64gb card in it works.

That then led me to, well I wonder if its the restart /process that allows it to work OK, not sure why, but tried it and I was right. If I restart the card reads fine. I took that to another level and just put the notebook to sleep mode. On wake, sure enough theres the card.

This is utter strangeness indeed. I would blame the adapter if it werent for the fact that I can pull out / put in 16gb cards without issue.

SO... wheres the problem? In the 64gb p2 card? I can assume with my 16s working fine that there must be some glitch.

I would blame the adapter, in that I've frequently used 64GB and 16GB cards in my laptop with no issue at all. I assume you're using the Duel adapter?

If you are using that Addonics adapter on a Mac, it states on their webpage the following:

"Under Mac OS X, Panasonic P2 cards are currently not supported with this adapter."

Its a Toshiba notebook. New and couldnt find one with the pcmcia. So checked the adapter route to express and found the card linked (similar).

Theyve probably never had an issue before as theyve most likely had few if anyone try to use a 64gb card.

Oh well, small workaround for me then is insert card - sleep and wake, takes about 10 seconds. 16s are no problem at all. Just dont get how it reads this way, seems like a refresh issue when the 64gb card is in.
