GH4 #60HrFilm Shot on V-LOG L

Not wanting to be a mod, but come on everyone, we know art is subjective. When I was a photographer, instead of a wanna be filmmaker, challenges like Brandon's help keep the juices flowing. Go downtown with ten other photogs and come away with a shot based off of a word pulled out of a hat, oh and you got two hours!

I did a test today to try and actually shoot something that would be difficult with Cine D. It has no artistic value, but it shows back to back three series of shots that had horrid highlight blowouts on Cine D vs V-Log.

The footage is stabilizing right now then I have to grade it but the difference is night and day. Highlights clip like a resistor audio amp using Cine D while V-Log clips like a tube amp.

For all the audio geeks out there, you know what I mean :).
I'll post some stills shortly followed by the short video later on.

Why would you want to do that?

because the regular profiles have cleaner noise than VLOG - and you don't have to buy it .... assuming one wanted the LOG style crush to work with.

I noticed maybe a .5 stop range difference trying that - except, I am not shooting charts and skys, but normal stuff... what we have now is perfectly fine for making films.
