60fps FCP?

I am new to shooting 60fps, and I am just wondering if there is a way to convert it within FCP so it plays in slow motion.

I thought I saw this somewhere on the forum before, but I just failed to locate it.

..."I brought the footage into my mac using my lexar fw800 reader. Converted to Pro Res LT with Mpeg streamclip then opened up Cinema tools and converted the whole lot from 50p to 25p which took about 5 seconds. What it does is simply change the metadata to say that the clip should play at 25fps instead of 50 which if you visualise it is almost stretching the clip out to 25p effectively doubling the length of the clip giving you perfect slow motion."....

Quote from dpreview.com - Canon EOS 7D forum:

1. In Premiere, I opened a new project with a frame rate of 23.976 fps.

2. Next, I imported the 720/60p clip (this one is actually 59.94 fps as shot), and "interpreted the footage" as 23.976 fps.

3. When I dropped the clip in the time line, it played as 23.976 fps, effectively becoming a 23.976 fps slomo. Sound is discarded, as this one has slowed down too.

4. I export as wmv file, using a "same as source" fps.

Hope it helps.
