60D side by side with 7D moire / aliasing test

im doing some side by side testing with a 60D and 7D (using the same 50mm 1.8) im intentionally shooting problematic settings - leaves, bricks and shingles, etc... and have discovered some interesting things:

1. for still photos, they are nearly identical. 7D seems to have a little faster autofocus - but i could be imagining that...
2. for VIDEO, the 7D shows moire in shingles in all modes. 1080 as well as 720 (standard and neutral settings). the 60D surprisingly seems to show MUCH LESS moire. its there, but you almost have to want to see it. BUT it has much more pronounced aliasing. where the 7D had issues with shingles, the 60D had it with siding and fences.

Very cool but not surprising. They may be using the same sensor (or virtually the same) but it makes sense for Canon to be improving the firmware and how it the camera downscales the image for video. I also though it was interesting how, in some ways, the 7D has been performing better than the Canon 1D and 5Dii in some of the Great Camera Shootout 2011 tests.
