In my opinion you should take out that documentary stuff that has the political correctness garbage.

Truth hurts! But always good to get a second opinion. I can see how it can be polarizing. In terms of flow what do you think?

Yeah, you don't want to be polarizing if you are just throwing it out there. If you have a specific target group of people you want to work for, then you might be okay. If it is just a demo reel for your ability as a cinematographer, you could even removed the sound, and just use a music track.
make it a little shorter. Cut out the repetition of the kids playing in the fountain, use it maybe twice, and reduce the clips of that lady walking around, and get rid of those clips of the people speaking at the conference because they look like crap, and out of context they do not add anything of interest to your demo reel, but i may be missing the point you have them in there, as I watch it all without sound.

cut this to 2 minutes. take out the political/ conference docu stuff as mentioned already. I'm not sure why you'd put that in thee against some of those other nice imagery. I also dont like hearing that audio from the documentary when i'm seeing gorgeous timelapses... totally takes away the experience. Also dont like how it flows...i get that your trying a different approach...but i'd rather see things more orderly than shots from different projects cycling throughout. Do one project at a time..and pick the best shots from them,

you certainly have some really good shots in this! Just weed out the not so hot..or useless ones. which will cut down the reel to 2mins.

Conference stuff is sh*te, duly noted! Yeah the flow was always difficult for me to nail down, I was trying to go for something "HBO"-ish...kind of like in between shows they have mini-montages of upcoming shows. I guess I never really decided if it was a demo-reel or an "keep your eyes open for these projects" so I was in this state of limbo.

well that is is a awesome edit. But that is centered around one topic. not a demo reel showing all sorts of things. if your audio had something to do with the imagery you were showing which would add to it then by all means. But it didnt. the opening shot is just sick though. I forgot to mention that.

Yeah, I actually don't have enough projects under my belt to create a proper demo reel yet : - /
The first shot is actually with a GH13...the 60D would have been mud city!
