60D: Is A Field Monitor Useless?

I've recently come across the Varavon Loupe Ex-Supporter. It poses the question of whether the pricetag of a Field Monitor is really worth it.

With more and more people heading towards Magic Lantern, with it's focus assist etc, is the Varavon Loupe the next "in" thing?

If you haven't seen it; http://www.varavon.com/product/loupe60d.html

Keep in mind that unless you have a EVF (electronic viewfinder) you are only seeing a magnified low res image through the loupe. An hd field monitor will give you a much better representation of what your final output will look like..but that too is only showing you a compressed 1080i image until you press record and then the it drops to 480p while recording.

If you have the budget this is the way to go http://www.amazon.com/dp/B004WZ8OE8...tiveASIN=B004WZ8OE8&adid=0MEZVEX7000EEGS0AX59

What are the advantages of the Zacuto over the DP4? To me, the DP4 is more aesthetically pleasing, but is that as far as it goes for the DP4?
