60D: Auto lighting optimizer HELP!

Can anyone verify what the auto lighting optimizer (ALO) on the 60D will do if it is enabled during video recording?

I have still had strange "auto" increments happen to me during recording in full manual mode. I noticed today that this ALO was indeed enabled. Could that have been it?

Hey everyone. it took a while for me to figure out what was going on with my camera...figured it out and posted it here:

Very happy to come across this.
I have had the EXACT same problem with my 60D. Didn't have it with my t2i, but I think I had turned of ALO on the t2i and not the 60D. The slight lighting shift messed with some interviews I shot last night. Before even checking online I was worried the ALO had something to do with it so I just turned it off and now have started searching and glad to hear you had a solution too.

I'm very surprised this isn't talked about more, but maybe it is just some of the cameras???
I will say that it has only been some of the time. Maybe certain lighting conditions? I wasn't able to repeat the problem tonight when doing tests. But I have checked my footage from last night and the exposure shifts are there recorded and viewable in my FCP.

Quickly checking my T3i it's default "disabled".
