60D and Canon CN-E EF Lenses

This should be straight forward, but I've read conflicting reports about it (namely distance to sensor etc).

Can I actually use the Canon Cine lenses on the 60D?

Yes. multiply mm x 1.62 to get 35mm equivalent. 50mm x 1.62 = 81mm etc.

Not that you wouldn't see a benefit from those lenses but seems like you would have a lot more value added by upgrading the camera instead of getting cine lenses.

Yes, you can absolutely use the CN-E lenses on the 60D. Note that the physical size of the lenses (they're 114mm diameter) make the lens extend below the bottom of the camera. This can make it difficult to use on some tripod setups.
