$6000 for lenses

So I have $6000 to spend on lenses through work, and I was curious if you guys had any suggestions. What I'm thinking is:

Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8
Some sort of 24-70mm f/2.8
Some sort of 70-200mm f/2.8 (do they make a 70-300mm f/2.8?)
Some sort of 50mm f/1.2

What would you guys get?

What kind of work are you planning on doing? If you are doing documentary style work, then the zooms you listed are perfect. In that case, get the Canon lenses. If you are doing more controlled shooting like narrarative work, you might consider a set of primes in which case, it might be worth it to invest in some Zeiss primes. You sir, have a very fortunate problem!

That is one sexy set of lenses. Man I wish I had that kind of $'s to spend on lenses at work. Do those lenses breathe like the photo zeiss lenses?

Well these are the photo Zeiss lenses...but Duclos has modified them to be more cinema friendly by

1.Declicking the iris- " Removing the click stops and dampening the control ring with Zeiss lubricants allow precise aperture selection and movement similar to motion picture lenses."

2.Solid Focus gears " Made from solid delrin, each gear is custom cut to ensure seamless, slip free, smooth focus movement. Industry standard 32-pitch works with almost any follow focus or motor.

3. 80mm Front Rings: Machined from aluminum, these adaptors screw into the existing filter threads of the lens and provide a uniform

I supposed they keep the breathing characteristics.

However if you want the realy cinema version to these lenses that dont breathe...then...http://www.zeiss.com/c125756900453232/Contents-Frame/042839dea0e28e5fc125756f003e6703

Its the SAME glass though just much better mechanics....so i wouldnt get them....not that i can even afford one

These "duclos" mods you can perform yourself with a little bit of know-how. I suggest buying some cheap broken lenses and trying on some. Usually it only involves screwing out the back plate, removing the little ball-bearing that gives the aperture ring its click. You can standardize on the filter threads by buying cheap $2 step-up rings from eBay.
