loved the story. Image looked good. Fast efficient editing. The screen in screen secuence IMO was not necessary and not very filmic.

You are right about that Joe. I am not a huge fan of it either. We had another scene in that spot of the film(screen in screen) that didn't quite work and with 2 hours to get it in before the deadline of the comp, we had to put something in there to fill the gap. We had no extra footage and in desperation we settled on showing the 3 main characters in the bar.
I appreciate your comments. Thanks.

Just sit down with calm and reedit the short. Not for the festival but for yourself and to promote yourself. It will be worth the effort.

Very nice! Hard to do something that feels complete in 60 seconds, and you did it. Well done.

The only thing that caught my attention on the downside was the jumpy, hard panning of the music. It felt very unnatural, and distracted from the mood. You could move the music to some degree effectively I think, but much less so would be better.

I do audio and post for a living BTW...

The lighting looks very nice, and the film was effective and kept my interest all the way, good job!
But I have a tech question, did you forget to turn the motor on the brevis on?
Also remember to clean your lenses

Thanks, I will take that on board for the next one.

No I didn't forget to turn it on. I opened the box on the day of the shoot to see the switch had been bumped ( a common problem with their switch location) and the batteries dead flat. The smart charger would not charge it because the batteries were below 3 volts. You make that mistake once.

Yes, I need to open the Brevis and clean out the dust in the top left corner of the glass.

Thanks for all your responses.
