5D music video

Here is a music video called "Away Like A Song" I shot for the band The Gleam and Director Mark Har. I shot roughly 90% of this video on the 5D, 5% on a GoPro HD Hero, and 5% on an AG-HPX170.

The GoPro HD Hero was used on the guitar mounted shots and the timelapes shots.

The AG-HPX170 was used to shoot the shots of the kid running toward the camera on the sidewalk. I shot it at 12fps and a 45 degree shutter and then doubled the frames in post so it was back to 24, but with a stuttering effect.

The rest was all 5D, with two Canon zooms and several Nikon primes.

really liked it. The performance stuff in the front yard was a little to nat-light looking for me tho. HMI or diffusion/reflector would have been huge here. But overall, very cool.

Thanks! Yeah I hear ya about the uncontrolled light in the front yard. Literally it was me and the director for crew. We did have one PA wrangling the extras and a still photographer on set as well, but they were busy and couldn't help. I just gave some extras some flexfills and had then shake the light up like water because thats all they knew how to do, plus it kept them busy.
