5D MKIII specs

OK, Anthony, if you start to post old links, I reserve my own right to do it with old announcements of this week too:

nokia-mwc.jpg

Wait, but that's Nokia instead! LOL Well, that's what the pic says, we never know if it was a new Canon DSLR in 8K disguise... ;-)

http://nofilmschool.com/2012/03/canon-5d-mark-iii-video-frame-rates/#comments OK you all got your stupid headphone jack. Are yall happy now?

But, if I could flag a video as the best take with just hitting a button

You can, even with your fs100. You flip the slate over where it says "print" then you hit the record button. There you have a great take thats marked with one button:) So when you watch your daily's, the take marked print is the one you likey.

ok, i'm just giving you hard time Rick, lol. I know it's an old fashioned, primitave way of marking your best takes, but it still works:)

Looks like Canon Rumors is dead and the live stream they had links for is dead also. I got all night people...

Haha! Of course, that means I have to watch each one :P (But I would anyways as I study what is wrong with shots just as much as what is right to enhance my future shooting)

At this point it looks like they added some image controls for video (which is good) and added a headphone port. But I am guessing if they added clean HDMI they would be pounding their chest about it. I am pessimistic about the possibility of this feature which is sort of a deal breaker for me at this time. I-frame is fine if the bitrate is high. But to be honest, the more I think about a PIX 220 paired with one of these new cameras any internal codec looks like an afterthought. $1,700 gets you proper audio and great image recording, but only if Canon plays along.

So far this camera looks like a typical Canon release - do just enough so you can say you did enough. I hope they prove me wrong.
