5d Mk II Bundle Ideas?

Hey guys,

So AbelCineTech is getting into selling video accessories for the 5d Mk II and I'd like to get your feedback. I'd like to make bundles that lower the price overall for you guys, something similar to what we did with the Red User Group. I'm talking bundles aimed at the DSLR filmmaker - Tripods, Camera Support, Mattebox/FF, audio gear, etc. It worked out really well with the Red users because we were able to rally special deals from manufacturers. DVXusers can do the same thing. We just need to know what you are after. I'm a 5d owner myself, so I have an idea, but I'd like to see what you guys think. Any ideas?

Miller / Manfrotto Systems - The Miller DV Compass system is pretty awesome.
Chrosziel / Zacuto / Arri Matteboxes and Support systems?
Z-Finder, HoodLoupe?
Monitors?
Audio Gear?
Bags?

Any ideas would be great. I can't promise anything at this point, but the bigger the response the better the package.

Andy

Just starting to put together a 5d package together... currently looking for a camera support bundle, (ie. rails, follow focus, mattebox) and run&gun audio setup (zoom h4n, plus standard shotgun ie. rode nt1a or at4073, and hot shoe mount).

If I were in the market again, a Camera Body + Bag + extra batteries + AC adapter bundle would've been awesome.

That's my two cents for now.

No brainers:

(In terms of priority)

1) The camera itself
2) 2 low cost aftermarket batteries
3) H4N + Redhead (this is a universally accepted solution at this point)
4) The new Redrock DSLR baseplate
5) Genus Wide angle Mattebox
6) Cinevate carbon fiber rods
7) LCDVF viewfinder (The Zacuto is great but expensive, the hoodman is very poor)
8) Redrock quick release follow focus (more debatable but good value for money)

Definitely the camera, z-finder, 2 extra batteries, H4N with mount and wind screen.
Maybe a monitor like the smallhd with noga arm and rod mount and a support system like one from Zacuto or Redrock. I'm really interested in getting the Zacuto tactical shooter, but would love to be able to have a standard baseplate on it rather than just the quickrelease so I could mount my follow focus. Any of their other, larger kits get too heavy and start to take away from the small, lightweight advantage of the camera. Also, a backpack bag would be great. I love the idea for documentary work about being able to have the camera, a few lenses, accessories and attach a lightweight tripod and be able to put it on my back and hop on the subway to a location.
