5D mk ii & 7D Frame rates

Alright I shoot video and currently have 2 7D's and going for a third camera. I shoot 30p (29.97). I'm wondering how the setup will work, that is if I were to get the 5Dmk2 to join my 7D family. I understand some of my lenses will be useless with the full sensor (such as the tokina 11-16mm and sigma 30mm etc) but the canon ones should work great. My biggest concern is frame rates and overall image quality. Can anyone confirm that the 5Dmk2 can shoot 30p @ 29.97? I read that canon released a new firmware for the 5dmk2 with 30p @ 29.97. Also Cineform NeoScene... will I be able to transcode 5dmk2 footage same way I transcode the footage from 7D? Thanks in advance.

The 5D MK II only shoots at 30fps

Ernest is wrong, the new firmware gave the 5D 29.97 as well as 24p (actually 23.98).

And yes, NeoScene will work in the same way.

sorry, i have the 7D.

As far as i knew, 5D just had 30fps. Was not aware of a firmware update.
