Has anyone been harassing Canon about fixing the 5D's monitor out resolution? I know we're all happy about the 24p firmware, but let's not forget how and why that happened. 480p monitor out is absurd and there's no excuse as to why it can't be corrected to 1080i. If the 7D can do it, so can it's big brother. It's a relatively simple firmware update that Tramm Hudson should not be wasting his time with. We should have the option of buying any monitor we want; knowing that it can be used to it's fullest potential. Furthermore, peaking filters are nice, but we should not be married to them. It's time to take action once again. We know that Canon is listening. Persistence will be the deal maker.
P.S. While we're at it, why can't the camera's LCD be functional while a monitor is attached?
