Today it is Feb 25, the day after. The clips start to move upward. Is it worthy of its place or not?

Actually they are both APS-c
they both take EOS lenses
and they both create the same video image

why not just rename the forum 7D & t2i ?

Well, a third via indeed. Considering the main difference between them is the still realm above all, I don't see why we should really bother if Canon doesn't, as matter of fact. My vote went down well towards halfway in any way. The Lady is hottie(r ;-)

Since from a video standpoint it's so seemingly similar I think a combined forum would make sense. Almost all of the issues surrounding the 7D would be the same, as would the questions(lenses etc).

IMO Canon will continue to release and update cameras, so you can't have a forum for each one.

I'd say a Mark ii forum then a forum for the rest of them.

LOL OK, update the title then. There's nothing worst in the techie world than to be old fashioned ;-)

I would merge all canons ,then all nikons and then all panasonicons.
So 4 forum parts ,3 + all other dslrs
But to get rid of arguing which one is best one i would merge all DSLRs forums together.
Just 3 parts - technical stuff, footage and general discussion.

I´d also vote for putting all the canon VDSLRs in one forum, a lot of accessories apply to all of them, same goes for certain settings, lenses, sound requirements, post workflow aso

Is someone going to fix the poorly worded poll? Every reply seems to favor keeping the Canon cameras in one existing subforum - but the poll reads like a different question about whether the T2i should even be discussed on this site at all. Or am I reading it backwards?

because question suggests that if t2i wont get its own forum then it doesnt count as dslr worthy to talk about here or something like that, what is of course hilarious ,but what you can do when excited guys are waiting for new infos and posting weird posts.Hype was during gh1 release, during 7d release and now,but its not that bad now.
Im excited too, i dreamed about 550D today.

It takes time to build a new sub forum. Carpenters, plumbers and electricians need to be called not to mention zoning permits etc. Be patient.

more subforums is bigger mess, not really helpful when youre looking for thread from tomorrow and you dont remember if its in technical stuff or footage section or general talk because it was about lens but you dont even know if its about your 7d or 5d.
I had a couple of times some problems finding my last posts so i had to search in my profile for my latest posts because even now there are too many subforums.
ALSO i tend to miss a lot of gh-1 and d90 d5000 nice looking footage because i dont visit gh-1 forum that often,if all dslrs would be in the same place then it would be better IMO.Even if gh-1 is not technically dslr.
There should be one screening room ,without separate ones for 7d ,nikons and gh-1.
Why? Because its waste of space posting the same video twice.

As posted before, I second the motion.

On the other hand, there's also an option selected (anonymous voters) for some reason. Have you ever heard about silent majorities? :-)

I think it's interesting how most of the T2i talk is happening in this (DSLR - GED) forum. It kinda reminds me of the story of that college that was built without any sidewalks. After the first year they looked at all the dirt paths the students had made and paved over those. Knowing the students would find the most efficient way to get around.

I guess we'll see what happens.
