So i just received my zeiss zf 50mm 1.4, so i decided to put it up next to my nikon 50mm 1.4, my tamron 17-50mm 2.8 and my sony 18-200 3.5-6.3. Nothing to scientific but gives you an idea. All i did in post was adjust exposure so all the charts matched. Hope this helps you guys out! Sorry for the random shadows on the left side, i was kinda rushing through.

Password is "chart". I recommend downloading the file from vimeo for best results.

Why is the nikon so blue tinted? WB? or is that just the way they are?

I shot with the same settings for every lens. The lighting was indoor light with a window behind the camera but the shades were shut and its cloudy/dark outside. because of the conditions, i might have made it a tad bluer than normal but i think nikon tends to be colder.

EDIT: could have been the PP i was using too to make the nikon seem bluer

I do remember Rockwell in that comparison article saying that Zeiss and Nikon use different coatings, so I am guessing that is part of it as well.
