50i/25p recording on AG-HMC150P

I remembered someone here said that he sent his camera to Panasonic (US model) and paid $$ to have them enable 50i/25p recording. I emailed Jan and she said no. Understand that a Panasonic product manager doesn't want this to destroy their PAL business in China/EU.

Anyone here can tell me this? I am pondering my life in PAL country by Xmas. :(:Drogar-Evil(DBG):
 
Thanks, Ken. I bought mine in the USA and have no intention to sell it for a loss. I would rather use software to convert 60i to 50i.
 
Sorry I had not realised you already had the camera. I guess I should have paid more attention.

no , the upgrade is only available for the hpx 170. booohooo pana .....anywhoo
You can shoot 1080 24p and convert that to 1080 25p which can be converted into 1080 50i.
