C100: 50Hz Shutter Speed Question

I have an assignment coming up in Greece (230v, 50Hz) and was wondering what the preferred way to deal with the change from 60Hz might be. I shoot virtually everything at 29.97 and 1/60 here at home (60Hz). When I get to Greece should I drop the frame rate to 25fps at 1/50 or keep 29.97 and up the shutter speed to 1/100 or maybe drop it back to 1/50? What's the best way to avoid the flicker? Everything is for Web delivery. Thanks!

1/50 or 1/100...What would the differences be? I'm indoors on a portable green screen (mostly) with a few watts of LED lighting mixed with available lighting.

Shoot for whatever format your delivering to. I.e if it's being delivered in an NTSC country then shoot NTSC and the necessary framerate.

Use use whatever shutter suits. 1/60 will work in most cases. It's rare that you will actually experience the frequency issue.

Agree, but it's not that rare. Just check your footage if you're filming in artificial light, you should be able to see if it's a problem.

The sun and my LEDs aren't a problem but the overhead lighting has always flickered on me shooting in a 50Hz country. I'm just curious which is the best way of dealing with it if I keep my 29.97 frame rate...1/50 or 1/100. Again, it's a talking head green screen.

Sorry, that's not true. Frequency issues are common for those of us that travel a lot.

Use a 1/50th.
