5" HDMI Budget monitor opinion

Both offer almost identical features...which ones are most important to you?

Would you like to have that swivel the FW offers?

It's also worth considering any latency the two may or may not have (which is only confirmed by other people/reviews or testing with a particular camera).

Some random links which may or may not be helpful (the FWs are also called AndyCine and maybe other names as 'brand recycling' is common with these kind of monitors):

Personally, my favorite for the price if 7" is doable:

I thought about getting an iKan a few years ago, but a bunch of people said they weren't reliable. I ended up with a Lilliput 664/O/P because it was only $110 on eBay at the time. Lilliput is a decent budget option, but if I needed to replace mine, I'd look at the SWIT CM-55C, as it supports LUT uploads and waveform.

Last month Newsshooter reviewed the Bestview S5 5.5″ full HD monitor. Bottom line seemed to be: Pretty good for the price (under US$200 with some extra accessories). Check out the review:

Note that in my experience, these low-cost monitors vary a lot from unit to unit. Some are great, another unit of the same model isn't so great. Some are reliable, some not. So I think it makes sense to buy from a dealer with good return policy and a good reputation for not hassling people trying to return an under-performing piece of equipment.

Let us know what you end up getting!
