48fps to 24fps

Had a little bit of a mix up when I shot some sync-dialogue stuff. Recorded 48fps in 720/60P mode on the camera. I am editing in FCP - is there a way to drop every other frame and maintain sync?

Won't work exactly. 48fps on the HVX is actually something like 48.17; 24fps is 23.976, so it's not a 2:1 ratio.

Did you strip out the pulldown already, so you're working with a 48fps file?

No, still have the original file. Also sound was recorded on a separate system at 24fps. So I just need to know that sync to the separate system audio is possible. Thanks!
