400 AF100's to Ship on 12-27

Well my dealer said you never know with Panasonic. They might say they are on back-order and then come with enough units anyway. They could also come with fewer than promised and not tell them until days before.
I don´t think this cam will sell like HVXs early on, because the market is kind of limited. it is not a "normal" videocamera, but a filmtool. it has no lenses, there are questions about mounting electronic lenses, there is in fact only one true AF-100 lens (the 14-140) so the numbers will be not as huge which makes me believe Panasonic will be able to build enough units to supply the orderlists. But that is my guess.
 
Just got an email from Shawn at Full Compass. My camera will be in the first batch they receive.

Same here. I'm disappointed he said they definitely won't arrive before 1st week of January though.

Edit: He didn't say "definitely", just that they expect them late 1st week of January, not before. There's still hope I suppose. Either way, I'll have an AF100 in January.

Yep, just got the same thing. Good thing I have a full week of no work around that time. Just me, the camera, and everything I can point it at :)
 
I called Shawn this afternoon, and he didn't want to commit (to quantity or delivery date), but shortly thereafter got the email after he did made some calls.

But with the delivery date (leaving Japan) being Dec 27 (which Shawn didn't want to commit to either, he clearly doesn't want to promise something he can't guarantee), it obviously will be January before they're delivered.

Just cancelled my pre-order with ABEL CINE TECH.

I ordered back in OCT, called today to check on my standing and they said I was #97, so I ordered with Silverado...

I'm #7 out of their first allocation of 10 units. AWESOME.

So it would appear that all of the first batch units have been hunted down and snatched up. How many are in the second batch, when will they be available, and does anyone have info. on the best place to order at for getting the best chance of getting a second batch unit?

Any tips on where to get the Voigtlander 0.95 25mm would also be appreciated.
