400 AF100's to Ship on 12-27

Bob- how long ago was that you ordered at vistek? i was thinking about putting an order in with vistek but I wonder how long that list is now.
 
Oooo, october 26 over here. Possibly second on their list. Im assuming this is the toronto location we are talking about?
 
Actually, I am number two on the list now, and I've just paid my balance in full for the AF100. Happy times these are. :)
 
danielc, I ordered Sept 27th. Steve, I paid in full because I sent Shawn a message telling him to tell me when he was going to submit the charge for the final amount. I had finally pulled together the last little bit of funds I needed and had it sitting in savings. I needed to move it into checking before he made the transaction. He asked if I just wanted to pay it now and that sounded like a good idea to me, less hassle to deal with. :)

Awesome, yeah, I recommend Shawn to anyone looking to get an AF100, although I doubt you will get it on the first run at this point if you waited this long to pre-order. They had received 3 more pre-orders (now at 27) when I talked to him last. In any case, tell him Rick said hi. :)

Last thing I need to get is two SDHC cards. I am thinking of trying Kensington Class 10 as their CF cards (32Gb) have been rock solid for me.

Any details about the package you're setting up? I think I've been working with Jim at Full Compass, and he didn't seem to be sure about which lenses they'd carry, etc.
 
i was replying all day on my phone from school, the words are way too small. my apologizes grimepoch, somewhere through the posts i had jumped on your ordering location. atleast thats one less camera perhaps some thought was going to come out of the full compass order haha.

Setting it up right now. I'm really looking at supporting gear: tripod, steadcam, sound. Shawn said he could get pretty much anything I wanted though I didn't ask about lenses.
 
Our pre-order list is growing strong.. I won't say the number we have on order but it makes Jan happy to say the least. We have several packages with lenses and accessories on our site, and the sales guys can get you just about anything. I suggest Matt or Jeff in NY, Daniel or James in LA, or Kari in Chicago.

We are all hoping that they show up in time for Christmas, or at least New Years.
 
Panasonic Australia have more than 60 units on back order - I think that may exclude the pre-ordered December shipment. Rob Myers from PA said the demand for the camera exceeds any other model they have ever imported into Australia.
