4/3 adapter for Nikon E mount?

I rummaged through the attic today and found an old Nikon 50mm 1.8 series E. I've been searching ebay and google for a micro adapter but found nothing. I can find plenty of FD, F, etc... but no E.

Does anybody have any knowledge about this lens and if there is an available adapter to fit my GH1?

Thanks in advance.

Any Micro 4/3 to Nikon F adapter should work. I have the one from Ciecio7, and it's good. Also, a lot of people use the jinfinance adapter. I just got one from them for NIkon lenses without built in aperture control.

The E Series was just a less expensive series of lenses for Nikon cameras...a cheaper alternative to Nikkors. All Nikons have an F mount, no matter when it was made. Here's something on the E series:

The E Series are optically pretty comparable to Nikkors, and better than most AF lenses. They're just made of plastic :)

wow, thanks for the quick reply... I'll order the F adapter then. I used this old lens to help focus the back of my old 4x5 years ago and forgot I had it. I just found out the "E" stands for economical and was known as the pancake lens of it's day. Googled some pretty good write ups on the optics so I can't wait to try it out in video mode.

Agree with Ben. I actually have the exact same lens and am impressed with the quality of the image and its compactness. I bought an old Nikkor S 50mm 1.4 (with the knobby focus ring) to get the extra speed and quality but the E lens holds up well, so I'm not getting rid of it.

I also have the same lens, it performs quite nicely. I use it a lot on my Nikon FM2, but also on my Gh1 (I also have a Nikkor 50mm f/1.4 but I usually choose the f/1.8)
