3D tracked handheld clip

Most impressive. Let me get this straight... The robot was computer generated? That's crazy!

It looks rough, but it looks real.. This doesn't look like animation bro. This looks like you tape a
little toy robot in real life.. Incredible.. What software is this again?

Thanks!

Heh, yeah the little Robotech bad guy is comped in. I'm a visual effects artist, so it makes sense that I can do this. I'm just playing around to see what kind of tracks I can get out of my lil' DVX.

I'll post a longer clip in a while.

Damn, haha at first I was like, why the f*** did this guy film a toy on his desk? Then I read that you computer generated it, completely fooled me! lol nice work.

I replaced the original link with the longer clip:

Why Don't show little bit a Animation on THat Toy? Then These Film guys Going to
piss!! man
boujou is Eesy To track...is it? Texturing is good too.
What kind Rendering software Are u Using? I am using Mentalray...in case.

man thats cool, the tracking looks awesome. The animation was good too, I'm not easily fooled by cgi(as I do rubber monster effects and waste my life spotting different things) so I could tell, but it wasn't an eyesore like cgi tends to be for me. I'm gonna have to start learning this stuff someday.

Awsome, if I had your skills i'd be thinking about all the cool films I would make. That little clip motived me so I am going to start learning lightwave also.

Thanks

Glad I could show you somthing new. I do work freelance as well, so if any of you need some visual effects for your film/commercial/wedding let me know. Depending on the effect and the live plates this stuff can be very low-cost, or quite pricey... :)

michael thats just amazing

great job man

i really thought that looked so real, the reflections was a nice touch

you said you use boujou for the tracking?

no way, now way!

I have a slightly more ambitious project brewing that involved plates shot from the DVX and CG characters... I'll try and keep this place updated..
