and what technology are they using for 3dtv? If' it's the stereoscopic, can't you just do two hd cameras put together?
Also, don't you find 3D stuff just to be a gimmick? I mean, movie theaters used that tactic to get people back into theaters after color TV's came out. How is the incorporation of 3D into TV's any different? Phillips is going to be looking at a LONG market diffusion time if they plan on making this the norm, especially if it requires glasses or some exterior device to make it 3D. No one will be willing to adopt it.

thats true. it sounds like another one of those gimmicks. im not sure about the technology yet.i sell tvs for a living and philips reps told me that this tv is going to be released in 2008.its an interesting path they are taking. cant wait to see how it will fair out and how it will adopt hd technology
