Hi!

I am looking for some ND filters to use togheter with te following Nikon lenses and brevis35mm adapter:

ZOOM 70-210 mm 1:4 NIKON SERIES E

80-200 1:28 NIKON ED AF NIKKOR

35-70 1:3.3-4.5 AF NIKKOR

28-85 1: 3.5-4.5 AF NIKKOR

50 mm 1:1.2

I was wondering if it makes any sense to use a, quiet cheep, Cokin Creatve system adapter with separate rings for the lenses:

And sun shade:

or to forget directly about this and find matte box. But with this I have not much experience... Any suggestion?

And last but not least... which ND filters I should buy as priority?

Cheers :2vrolijk_08:

There's a 35mm Adapter section on this Web site. I would suggest you ask your question there for a better response.

A quick answer based on my experience. You should look at 1 of 2 options:

1. Purchase 82mm filters, and then a set of step up rings that would work with all of your lenses. A .9 ND and Polarizer should be standard.

2. Use a mattebox and purchase 4x4 filters. A recommended collection of 4x4 filters would include a .9ND, Polarizer and Graduated ND. The graduated ND pretty much needs a mattebox so you can lower it to match the skyline, window, or shooting angle.

These 4x4 filters are fairly inexpensive (Cavision), and they work:

FTG4X4GD/0.6 (0.6 graduated ND)
FTG4X4ND09 (0.9 ND
FTG4X4PL (Polarizer)
