35mm adapter rig photos

I totally give these guys props, all that matters is what the picture looks like, not what you shot it with. I once saw a guy using a fur Tickle Me Elmo skin as a mic cover, I never laughed so hard.

I'd respect the guys at are going to take half our jobs. They don't want our entertainment anymore... they can make their own and nobody will complain about what they didn't see in the frame. Not tying to be an ass, just making a point.

Go ahead and start a new thread for yourself there. Then other DVX owners will be able to help you with more specific knowledge.

I love HMCs, how do you like the rod system?

to be honest, its extremely difficult to setup. The way it was already set up did not align the LEX with the 150. You have to adjust everything, which involves un-screwing 4 different screws on the actually base (i had to move it all the way over for the 150 and LEX to align) and multiple screws throughout. I actually compared the way it was set up to Bloom's, and there were pieces that didn't match, so I ended up changing my rod set up to his (much easier for the front bracket to support the LEX). Also, the support brackets themselves are very hard to adjust to support the LEX. I should have had three hands. It probably took me 2hrs after trial and error to make it fit securely. Now thats it set, its pretty good. Its more than enough for what I have on it.

This being my first time setting up a 35mm adapter probably has something to do with it, but there was so much adjusting (not that its a bad thing, but it seems the way the support clamps onto the rods should be done throughout the entire kit), plus, I was doing this on a table, a tripod would have been easier.

Here are some pictures from a shoot I did a few weeks ago.

You can see the more pictures and the finalized video on my blog, nextwaveg.blogspot.com

Just to share the setup I'm using more frequently now on my Documentary films.

This is way much lighter than my XH-A1 setup and the results are great.

How do you monitor what youre shooting naavt?

Hi Timur. With a LinITX 7" Transflective monitor which I've returned now since it was defective. I'm expecting the new one to arrive next week.

The monitor goes in that male tread that you see near the RedRockMicro Shoulder support.

naavt that is awesome!

Hi ecking. Thanks for the compliment. Buying a smaller camera for my Docs was one of the best moves I've made in the equipment department.

It simply was a pain carrying all the weight from XH-A1 and all other accessories within my Doc shooting style (many hours with on should camera work). This is much nicer!
