35mm adapter HMC150/1, NEED HELP CHOOSING!

CA is usually red one edge, blue on the other edge. Purple edging is usually sensor bloom from the camera.

Would you mind explaining what you just said... :)

In any case on the same camera used with letus you don't see it while with blade you do. I know it has something to do with amounts of light and apperture level of the lens but ever since the LEX came out the letus adapters stopped causing that. everything I say is probably BU%$##T so please explain to me what I'm seeing.

Does anybody know the dimensions of the letus extreme (L X W X H)? I want to see if the HMC + Letus fits in my bag.

I spent the last two months mulling over which adapter to buy. Nothing is perfect, and eventually I realized that whichever adapter I get, I will work within it's constraints to make the best images I can. I ended up purchasing the Cinemek G35 because: #1: It had the best images. #2: it is low/no maintainence, durable, and easy to use. It looses more light, but I am not intimidated by finding/providing 1 more stop of light than I would use for the Letus. It's expensive but it's what I want, and I'm sure in 6 months I'll have an extra grand to buy proper support rods. Until then I'll make some myself for $50 at home depot :)

How about this?

How about this?

I don't mean to drag you into sideway.

But I own HMC and thought the same thing you are thinking.

Then my decision was not to buy the adaptor but to buy 5D MK2.

I love the sharpness and low light performance of this cam.

This way, I can own two cams and use them accordingly without hassle of taking on and off of adaptor.

Just my thoughts.

Enjoy that adapter it does look great! I really cared about the light loss and the way the adapter suits rails, the Letus is much easier to use rails with.

why has no one considered the redrock encore?, just curious

It looks really big and heavy and costs more.

5d mkII is an amazing camera. and by far will give you a better picture than any camera with an adapter.
however, the lack of proper manual controls and lack of easy to use audio solution really got me in buying the HMC+letus.
If I want to shoot a film start to finish It'll be much easier with the HMC+letus, it will be much heavier, you'll get softer image, much worse low-light performace but overall easier to use and to use artistic freedom.
