Hi,

I want to buy a 35mm adapter and wide angle lens for my XH-A1. Well lots of people says lots of things. I will need rodds with most of them. But what if i want to shoot on my shoulders?

Well I believe brevis does not need those rods. I am so much confused. Also lots of people sells 35mm adapter.

Please I need some clearification. I have Canon XH-A1 (PAL). Will I need 35mm adapter to be able to use wide angle lenses and filters?

What are your recommends? And where can i buy? I want to buy from eBay because i have some funds in my paypal account and want to spend it for my camera. To get a good "Film Look" which adapter with which lens? And would be good using that adapter without rods?

Also some people told me that i can not use lenses with canon xh-a1 without a 35mm adapter. Is that true?

Help me or i will jump from my window.

PS. I am on 5th floor :)

Man, you are asking all the questions that have been covered here in incredible detail about a thousand times over. It sounds like you have a lot of learning to do so I would start by searching the many topics on this forum that have already covered your questions. There is a 35mm adapter section on the site so you should also check there. For every question you have there are a hundred answers and products out there.

The first thing you need to do is let people know what you are planning to do. Are you shooting a feature film, a short, a documentary, a music video, corporate video, the list goes on and the equipment needed for each of these kinds of productions varies greatly.

SEARCH is your friend so check that out first and see what you can find.

disjecta is absolutely right.

I've only been a member here for one month and I've already learned so much. Just lurk for a week. Read about the XH-A1, read about the adapters, and search the marketplace to get familiar with the products that people are buying and selling.

Download as much footage as possible and get familiar with camera/adapter/lens combinations before settling for something you don't know inside and out.

Is it unfortunate that this free forum has taught me more than my $25k/year university? *sigh*
