35mm 1.2 nokton vs. 25

25mm - constantly back ordered and $3-400 above MSRP when available with some testers saying it's actually an EV of 1.2 and not .95

Is 35mm 1.2 Nokton just a better option at this point to any who have tried it or both?

Its plenty available in europe...If you wanted to import. Amazon.fr have a fair few.

F1.2 vs f0.95
having tried a f1.2 I can say that the f0.95 is brighter...not sure what tests have been done to say otherwise.

Also I beleive the 35mm f1.2 costs a bit more than the 25mm f0.95 (again im going by europe prices)

I have both lenses. The 25 is brighter and has a much closer near limit. Built quality is also better on the 25.

Nice, 'tis settled! Argh europe. But in the states, the 25mm started at $900 (With B&H listing it out of stock at $819). But only places in the US that have them are charging $1200 give or take. The 35mm 1.2 is about $900-1000 ish in stock...not that I'm ready to plunge but good to keep the "macro" 25mm aspect in mind.

I bought my 25mm f/0.95 from Photo Village in New York City, and checking their site it looks like they have it in stock for the same price I paid last April: $1,199

I am starting to see the 25mm pop up used out here in taiwan. In the 700-800usd range. I also am seeing them in stock at the shops for around $1,000. Thats the situation over here but I am willing to bet that things are getting a lot easier.

Also keep an eye out in the next month or two as there will be some pepole moving over to the sony system, and selling their m4/3 lenes.
