30-inch monitor for less...

Just got it today.. colors are way off compared to my old dell (same model) and the menus are all different. Damnit.

If you hold down <- and + simultaneously when powering on, it should display the hidden factory info/settings (unless they've also changed that) - although I'm not sure if it will be of any use.

Apparently my LCD is a Samsung v1.8. (And apparently I've been using it for 4,714 hours)
 
Well my #1 dell 2405 is version 1.8 .. the new one is 2.2. both samsungs. I guess that explains the differences.

my #1 monitor has 8714 hours on it.... man thats scary.
 
8714 = 363 days... Have you really spent a year of your life sitting in front of that monitor? Makes you think about all that time spent on DVXuser differently... :shocked:
 
odd thing is i think that the monitor is only 2 years old.. and last year i spent more time on location/travel than at home.. i wonder if it counts in standby or not.
 
don't get this secret feature working... sorry, off topic, but: which keys ?
have pressed the most right 3 keys (return, minus, plus) and other combinations...
 
yeah the instructions on the web are all lamo.

you gotta hold the two keys down then press the power button.. the monitor will turn on, but you dont see a magic menu like everyone says. when its on, you press menu and you will all of a sudden now see a factory option in the normal menu, press that.
