*** 3 Minute Teaser inside ***

I made this short teaser in one day.
From shooting to editing and uploading.

I used a Canon XH-A1 and the HV20.
I edited it using Final Cut Pro.
I made the music on Garage Band.

The original short film is 20 minutes long but it was made shorter
so that I could enter it in the George A Romero contest.
So go and watch it as many times as you can and give it a thumbs up
rating so I win the damn contest.

From start to finish it took about 4 hours.
I would have taken longer but the contest already started and
I needed to get it uploaded as quickly as possible.
 
Well it looked more like the beginning of a movie than a trailer in my opinion. It didn't intrigue me very much during the beginning but the end was a nice touch. Cool how they all appeared dead and it sort of makes me curious, but nothing about a ghost...if that's what you were going for.

Try some CCing too - it'd add a lot to the overall production value,

The initial two minutes of the 'teaser' were not much of a 'tease', and (IMO) were pretty much boring. I was thinking that nothing was going to happen. I would shorten the teaser by about 2 minutes and then you may have something that does not turn off the audience before the real catch shots happen. The idea of a teaser is to capture interest, not bore them. Maybe you could have the odd flash of a dead person while the guy was using the fridge or something that gives an expectation of what is to come, but much earlier in the teaser. There was far too much build up using mundane shots that may mean something in the real film, but taken out of context mean very little and left me with a 'so what?' kind of feeling, and did not stir any inquisitive or excited emotions. Just my view. Everyone is free to disagree.

In terms of the actual shooting, depth of field etc, looks good so far.

See the problem is this was for a contest that was suppose to be a 14 minute short.
Then it was changed to a 3 minute short. But yoy have to keep it close to 3 minutes.

So I had to change everything last minute. If you look at the 2nd version, you
will see what I was going for originally.
