25F jerky motion

Hi all,

Is it normal for the XH-A1 to present much more jerky motion footage on 25F than 50i ?

I was thinking that it would appear much more film like but instead the image doesn't flow with the smoothness that it should!

I've imported it to FCP 6 with HDV - 1080 P25 codec. Perhaps I'm doing it wrong! Any thoughts on this will be very appreciated.

thats how it is. if you want smoother motion, use a slower shutter speed so there is more motion blur. you can go down to 1/25 in 25f mode which is pretty good for low light stuff.

Think I'm going to take some time just to experiment with different settings.
