On every shoot theres a point where you have to let go and trust the Director your working with... This time it was litterly...

Is this Antelope Canyon? You brought your own light? There is no real chance that the GH1 can capture this ith no extra light.

No, not Antelope Canyon... I had one small LED light for an SFX shot but other then that all Natural Light..At 4pm the HVX-200 with M2 had nothing but Blackness... the GH1 behaved very well at 400asa-1000asa.

The director wanted to go further through the canyon to the other side. A short 100 yard hike he said...

A half a mile later through rough terrain I was glad I left the HVX behind...

At one point I slipped and the director held out his hand... I had to decide whether to trust him and take his hand... or turn around... I gave him my hand, the rock climbers grabbed him, and I made it up the rock face only by his grip on me... After I made that decision to trust him I didn't have to think twice about being flung around 25ft off the canyon floor..

Lens Baby 3g... where we hiked up...

it was very dark and Idealy I would have liked more light, the 1000 ISO stuff was defently starting to suffer from the low light mud ,,,

here's a shot I did Day for night at 100 Iso the same spot as the Over Head...

The thing is given the crew/Budget/etc I had, the GH1 really fit the best for these scenes. There still is most of this shoot where the HVX-200/m2 is better but in Low light small spaces or remote locations Sound wouldn't carry a mixer too The GH1 fits the bill...

my lenses of course... no I used a Nikon 50mm and a Sigma 14mm... the Sigma has no clutch or infinity roll so its hard to focus...
