Does anyone know if what i read is tue while surfing the web? Someone said on a different forum that the xh-a1 has a 20% resolution loss shooting 24 and 30p because the chip is interlaced based.

I used to shoot 60i and am going to start shooting some 24p and 30p clips to see what i like best. i guess ill shoot 60i just to see but id like to get your experience on that?

Thanks, , Chris

I never noticed a dramatic loss in resolution. If you're outputting to 720p you should be fine, and you'll still probably be fine with 1080i or 1080p.

There is a slight loss, but the A1 is so sharp to begin with, you aren't going to notice much of a difference. I pretty much only shoot in 24P and my finished projects look excellent. I would only be worried if your shooting charts as part of a resolution competition, where the winner gets skittles.
