24P or 24P Advance???

I read this in Barry's book. Why would one want to edit in a 60i timeline if shooting 24p??

If you're mixing with 30p, or if you're mixing with 60i footage that you want to keep as 60i.

I can't find the letterbox filter on FCP 6. Is there was a place to set the aspect ratios too.

When the render is complete. How would a media player or a 'Video on Demand' system see the footage?
I'm sure that makes no sense but let me explain further. If I do a 60i time line or a 24p time line what frame rate does the media player or Video on Demand system see?

The reason I asked is because my distributors (VOD) have a limitation that says the slowest frame rate I should use is 29.xx ??

It will see it as the frame rate that you render out as.
