24p Motion Jpeg VS 24p AVCHD

I'm considering hacking my GH1 and installing the custom firmware. I have 2 questions about workflows.

1. What is the benefit of shooting 24p MJPEG vs 24p AVCHD?

2. What settings do you use to import MJPEG into your timeline? I usually set up my timeline in Premiere using AVCHD presets.

1. None, because 24p MJPG doesn't work right yet. It only works properly at 30p.

What settings are you using for your timeline? I'm using premiere, and I'm confused about what presets I should set up. Obviously the preset would include 720 24p, but I'm questioning how to set up motionjpeg in Premiere.
