I just bought my dvx100b and i'm still learning how to use it, i looked in the fourms and i couldnt find answer in the threads.

whenever i shoot 24p inside, the picture looks fuzzy or grainy. when i capture, the picture still looks fuzzy. can anyone tell me why this happens, or how to fix it??

I would say new users always have the same question and it's always the

-what's that click sound
-why does it look "fuzzy"
-what are the scene setting...

just so you know, the "fuzzy" look you get it totally normal. you get only 24 frames vs. 60i frames so it will looke more "fuzzy" compared to 60i footage. just don't pan the camera around to fast. and you're good to go:)

(and turn down the grain for the grainy look)

A very common question and I always feel the need to add my 2 cents as well. I went from a Canon xh-a1 to a dvx100b and after viewing the Canon in hd and then going to the dvx on an hd tv...... it was a little fuzzy. It is after all standard definition. If you turn down the gain, up the detail coring some and fine tune you export settings, you can get some pretty clean results that hold up decently well in HD.

The amount of noise you have in a picture is directly related to the amount of light you bring in. Bring in more light, you will have less noise.

As for panning the camera, that'll be a strobe issue if you move it too quickly, but it won't produce more noise.

(Of course, I guess this turns on what "fuzzy" means, but I assume that means the noise, right?)
