We recently bought a dvx100b, and all seemed well to begin with. I am not sure we have a real problem here or if it is just something we have overlooked. We were filming fine with the camera in 60i mode, and were able to power on and off normally(picture still in tact).
We attempted to shoot in 24p mode and this is where our problem began. We were able to film in 24p, but when we powered the camera off and attempted to turn the camera back on, there was nothing but some numbers and a black screen on both the lcd and the view finder.
After many attempts of turning the camera on and off, switching modes, and removing the battery, we were finally able to get the picture back. This problem does not occur in any other mode except for 24p, and it does occur every time in the 24p mode.
There would be no problem if we want to shoot in 24p and just left the camera on the whole time, but this is not what I consider to be a good solution. Can anyone please tell me what is going on with this?
