24F support in Premier Pro CS4

I am thinking of buying Adobe Premier Pro CS4 for video editing.

I am a newbie. In trying to research support for 24F format, it is unclear whether CS4 would support capture and edit of 24F HD formats.

I did see a thread that export back to tape is not supported.

Does anyone have any experience with CS4 in capturing and editing 24F in HD using Canon XHA1?

Any help is appreciated.
 
Thanks. In the Premier forum you mentioned - do not cross port. Can you elaborate what you mean by this?

Also, anything to watch for when capturing HD? For eg do I need a dedicated Raid0 disk?

I am planning to use a Sony Vaio dual core 2.3Ghz with 4GB ram but have only one build in HDD 5400rpm 250GB. I am thinking of adding a G-tech Raid0 drive on USB.

Is HD playback a big issue in CS4?
 
Cross posting is when you post the same question across different subforum. It's against site policy.

You should be able to capture the footage just fine without a RAID drive. Your HDD is too slow, 7200 rpm is recommended. I really don't know how your system will perform on CS4.
