24F playbeck?

Which HDV deck will play back Canons 24F mode? Any?

We don't want to use the camera as a deck.

Only Canon XL-H1 or one of the newer handycams will do it.

That said, you can always get an HDV Firestore or CitiDisk HDV and bypass tape playback altogether.

No, there will probably never be an HDV playback deck that supports 24F. Canon doesn't make decks at all, and Sony isn't supporting the Canon format.

The inexpensive playback model you may want to look at is the new Canon MV10 camcorder, it's priced about where a DV deck would be priced and it plays 24F.

I wanted to get work the HVX200, but it seems to be a archiving problem for us right now. Tape is the way to go for us

I guess we could use the small camera as a deck.
