UPDATE - Screen Grabs-

Okay, so you've been waiting for some screen grabs- here are some low res grabs for you. The CC's been completed, and now I'm just waiting on teh completion of the Score, VFX, and sound design. It's all coming together nicely! Can't wait to hear Sid's work!

Oooh! Wow. What a range of feelings these images provoke! I can't wait to see this tied together!

Love the grabs. They look like they could be print ads. (I mean that in a good way!)

Thanks- much appreciated. I was able to get a lot of the look I wanted in camera, except for the flashback scenes (The shot of Rebecca in bed posted above). I couldn't get the image as desaturated as I had wanted. So I had to tweek it in post. With the other shots I also crushed the black a little more as well- not much, just to make them pop a little more.

Ryan. Nice work! Love the images there! Only wish I could see them bigger :)

Thanks. Depending on the spec's for the submission you should be able to see them bigger in the DVXfest version. The full HD version will be available on the final DVD.

NICE CC, Ryan ... love it. I'm a wee stressed as Dan's editors never came through (he got sick, all the weather issues, pushing time limit, etc.), so he's trying to figure his way through the edit now. However, I appreciate all the effort he's putting into it ... will be heading over there SOMETIME today/tomorrow to get the locked edit done, which may put me a day behind.

If you weren't leaving for Japan, I'd be begging for your help right now, lol.

I left him detailed instructions on how to import and use the footage, so that should do him well. Glad to help out where I can.

I'm loving the second grab the most but I'm sorry to admit that... all the other ones are just amazing, sorry ;)

Thanks. Those are some of may favorites as well- however they are all my second choice favorites, as my favorite shots would give away too much of the story.

Update - Score

Update - Score

I just got done talking (AIM'ing to be exact) with Sid, and the score is coming along great! It is amazing what a difference sound makes. With his efforts and the efforts of Jerry the film is finally coming into its own. Exciting stuff!

Currently I'm preping for Japan- and I'll be taking the BTS footage with me. Hopefully I'll be able to get something done by the time I return. When it's available I'll let you all know.

Not much to report at this phase. Recorded some awesome fx yesterday, and have been working on processing and cutting those. The final mix is on Saturday. Studio time is reserved. Other than that, there's really nothing of interest going on that hasn't already been reported.

Well I've been traveling to Japan since 3:30 am on the 22nd- and I'm on the last lay over here in Osaka. My next flight leaves in a little under 1hr.

Jerry is workingon the sounds design.

Mark is working on teh VFX.

Sid is working on the score.

Everything is coming along nicely- thanks for checkign in. I'll be trying to update the thread as things happen, and as I have internet access. (Right now at the airport there is free wifi!)

Sounds good, Ryan. Funny how both you and Norm get your films in the can and then book out of town!!!

I hope that you trip has gone well. (man, that is a long journey!)

Tell me about it! I just now arrived at my destination- I'm tired, and need to get to bed- it has been a long trip. :)

Sid just delivered an in progress version of the score! Can't wait for the next break in class so I can listen to it.
