Thanks for checking in

As you know the locked edit was completed on Monday. I sent a copy to the Sound designer and the composer so that they could begin their work. And I sent Mark the sections he needed for the VFX. So everything is coming along nicely. I'm just playing around with the CC on my end. Then when everyone has their parts done I can just drop it all togther and export the final copy.

As for Japan, I went out a bought a suitcase yesterday for my gear (The golf case I had was falling apart after my various trips to Germany.). And today I'll be organizing everything in prep for the trip. I'm looking forward to it. The only thing that concerns me is my internet access once I get over there.... should be a fun trip!

Ryan, I searched through your thread trying to remember comments about your trip. No luck (or else I missed it).

I seem to remember some talk about it but can you remind me or point me to the post?

Good luck and have a great trip!

Thanks. I'm looking forward to it. My trip to Japan is through the same client that I went to Germany for- I'm producing a promotional video for them, and they have staff in Japan as well. (It is for Malachi Ministries, they work with Military Kids on American Military bases.) So I have to pack up my stuff and head on out to Japan- tough job I know ... but someones got to do it. :) . I am not looking forward to the travel (plane ride) I have two layovers, and a train ride. Total travel time is estimated at about 26 hours .... and that is just one way, I have to do it again on the way back. (At least my wife will be traveling with me.)

Whoa! 26 hours! I hope that you have your ipod loaded up!

Sounds like a great gig. I am very jealous.

I was getting the Germany trip confused with the Japan trip. Thanks for putting up those posts to remind me. (It's no wonder that I missed the first post on Japan... with all of the bts photos, who was reading the material!?)

Have a great trip. By the time you return, the last of the dramafest uploads should just be completed! (If it is anything like last time!!!)

Yep, loading up my ipod and my laptop- as well as a couple of books.

Yeah, that sounds baout right. I was hopeing that they would be up before I left, and then I could watch them all on the trip back. But realisticly that will not happen .... oh well, it will give me something to do on my first day back - I can watch them all as I take a day off to relax.

I finished cutting the dialogue! A couple of tweaks to make, but it's pretty much done. Now on to recording and cutting fx.

And of course... useless without pics. Here's a grab of the audio timeline so far. Even a low-res frame in there, just for Brandon. ;)

THANK YOU!!!

The frame LOOKS GOOD! Love the outdoor, rainy, desaturated look... reminds me very much of.... A Price Too High

LOL!! Only if he doesn't notice. :cheesy: It is funny how similar those shots do look.
I don't think that you can slip much by on Brandon! He has eyes everywhere!!!

It is funny how similar those shots are. I imagine that I will have to create the shot one day! (I just won't post a grab on dvxuser... I'd hate to get busted by Brandon! )

Yeah, our shot was filmed at Lacamas Lake in Washington on an overcast / rainy day, I assume that Brandon's was filmed somewhere in CA?
