235 Studios Presents: SEMELE

Ok, Ryan make the steaks, Norm make the ribs and mashed potatoes, who's making the salad and asparagus? I'll make my famous Ultimate Turtle Cheesecake and Southwestern Eggrolls (wonderful appetizer). Sounds like a full meal to me

Hey, that's it...the next fest should be a cooking show :)

UPDATE - Table Read / Crew / Location / Set

UPDATE - Table Read / Crew / Location / Set

Update - 12/14/06

Table Read Completed
We had the table read last night - everything went well, and I was impressed with everyones performance!

Crew Secured
Olya Nagel-Wanzonreid has joined the team, and will be our Dialect Coach. (She is helping both Reid & Rebecca with their Russian lines.)
Brandi Walters has joined the team and will be providing the Catering services. (Yep, that is my wife! A great supporter and fan, I'm glad to have her on board.)

Location Secured
I got the Ok from the City to use the location I have been after. The Police have been notifed, and all I have to do now is submit my application along with the location fee, and I should be ready to go come January 6th.

The Set is coming along, I just have to put in the desk, the bed, and hang some more artwork- and then I'll be posting more pictures of the set. I'm excited as everything is falling into place!

Hey there dvxers of the Great Northwest...

I just heard that you all had some nasty weather come through. I hope everything is okay for you and yours.

Thanks for checking in Ted. Yep, everything is ok here - at least in Portland anyway. I have family in Seattle, and last night was pretty crazy for them. My step mother witnessed a tree falling on top of a car - three cars a head - on her way home from work. (Everyone's ok.) There were stong winds down here, but we did not get it as bad as the Seattle area. Although I did have the power go out - right in the middle of a render of a project I was workign on for a client - ARGH! So, the power is back on, and now the computer is re-endering out the project ...

Yep all is well, and safe. Today was an interesting day as out here in Gresham we had sun, rain, then thunder & lightening, and we ended it with snow- very eventful!

I hust got done creating the CIA ID for Semele, as well as the Passport for Erika. Both of with I am very happy with. (I'm pretty proud of the passport, as it looks almost identical to the real one I have :) )

Nice! We'll have to start callin' you Propmaster.

Sounds like good stuff happening there! Really looking for to it. When do you plan to start shooting? After the holidays?

-Ted

Jan 6th is our shoot date- so it is coming up! I'm excited. Currently, I'm working on the rough edit of the storyboards and the audio from the table read- the preproduction work has been very helpful! :)

I love forging official documents and IDs... for movies I mean. Sounds like this project is going good, I'm impressed by the level of detail I'm reading about (dialect coach?... wow, very nice). Can't wait to see this one.

Yeah, my first introduction to photoshop was back in highschool - I believe that it was version 2 or 3 back then. Anyway- it was my junior year in highschool and only seniors got to park on campus - with parking permits. So I used photoshop to make myself a parking permit. :) I've loved photoshop ever since - a very powerful program indeed.

Thanks! I'm very happy with how things are falling into place. Reid and Rebecca have some lines in Russian, and they are working with the coach to get them down correctly.

Very fun indeed. Like I said, I would have rocked in Spanish.... It'll be interesting to have a few phrases in another language too. :)

Just wondering. The frame-forge 3d. I got the trial version of that on my other pc. [Which went in for repairs 2 hours ago] Just to check, you did buy that right? You didn't find some awesome site where you downloaded it for free?

I just spent a good 10 minutes reading through the updates etc. Its all interesting. Amazes me wth the amount of detail you're putting in. Good luck with the shootin january.

I have not bought it yet- I downloaded the trial version about 1.5 - 2 years ago, and I have had it ever since. I have played with it before, and use it a little when I first downloaded it. But until Mark and Ted talked about all that the program could do, it had mostly just been sitting on my hard drive. So I opened it back up and I have been using the trial version since then. I am planning on buying it- I just need to work the expense into the budget of a paying project, or maybe I'll have enough holiday cash to buy it with ... Anyway, from what I hear there are a TON of new features to the program.

and no I haven't found a place that offers it for free. Although I'm on a mac, so I do not bother even looking. :)

Thanks! I hope it all translates over to the production, I'm very excited about this project / entry and I think the whole cast and crew will do well, as everyone is putting in their best efforts. :)
