235 Studios Presents: SEMELE

Congrats on snagging Mark! You got a winner there!

Photos of Germany look great. I'm jealous!!!

As far as you being hungry and the deer feet on the door... I got a little worried! Looks like you are in Willy Wonkas "tasty room" where you can smell and lick the walls! (god, I hope that you didn't do that!)

LOL! Thanks. Yeah, I'm not quite sure why the deer feet where there- they didn't strike fear into me- maybe they were for a late night snack, or to warn other deer from entering .... ? Yep, definately reminds me of the tastey room! :) (and no - I didn't taste the deer feet- that picture is the closest I came to them.

That's good you didn't snack on the deer feet, Ryan. I was concerned as well. Looking forward to chatting with ya soon! Love the latest draft.

Patrick LaValley has also come on board as the steadicam op. I'm excited to have him in the position- as I was impressed with his steadicam work. Thanks Patrick. :)

UPDATE- On Set Armory

UPDATE- On Set Armory

UPDATE:
Crew Secured
On Set Armory / FX: Shawn Nelson

I'm excited to announce that Shawn has just joined the team! We just got done with a meeting where we did on screen gun tests with the weaponry Shawn will be providing, and I was very impressed. Not only does he have a good arsenal, but he knows his stuff- he will be a great assest to the team.

Thing have been pretty busy since returning from Germany - I hope to have more updates as time allows. Auditions are scheduled for this Monday- so we should have our cast by the end of next week.

Welcome aboard, Shawn! Can't wait to work with you!

Quick update on the sound "department." Pre-production is ramping up. Already done one spotting session with the script. Working on schedule and workflow for ADR, Foley, and the final mix.

Recording of various FX begins next month.

Yep, I'm very happy with everyone on the team- they are all giving it their best effort, and I'm sure that the project will reflect that. :)

Update from the grip/lighting dept:

We have begun to choose our visual aesthetic and lighting scheme, Ryan has sent Tung and I some examples and we are deciding how to execute it, and with what gear.

Ryan,
If you need some help with still photographs of the project as it unfolds let me know. I would be happy to lend some assistance, no charge of course. I’ll send you a PM.

Got your PM- Sent you a response. Thanks. :)

Yep, they'll be some guns involved. Shawn has quite the collection to choose from- and they look authenitc / real. and they'd better since their metal....

Come on over and play .... :)

Yes, they are the 8mm ones with plugged barrels. Real powder going off, very cool :). I've got 5 of them and so we'll be using 3 for this short (akimbo Beretta 92s and a Walther PPK). Then I've got a nice metal airsoft AK47 that's beeen distressed to look very real.
