C300: 2013 Ushers In A C300. Happy New Year!

[Erik Naso]

With the new year only hours away I'm fortunate enough to start 2013 with the Canon C300. I'm very excited! Was hoping it would arrive today but no luck. Darn you FedEx!
I think the C300 will be a nice move up from my AF-100.

Wishing all of you a prosperous 2013. Cheers and Happy New Year!!

Why the C300 over the C100?

EDIT: Oh! And congrats regardless!

Congrats!

If I was paying for it I would get the C100. I liked it. Nice small body and a great picture, but in a broadcast environment the added features the C300 has are a better choice.
I like 4:2:2 and SDI out. I'm not interested in using a external recorder so the 50mbs internal is perfect.
At least I can overcrank even if it's 720. Really should record at 1080.
Viewfinder/EVF is bigger and has an actual eyecup.
LCD position and available viewing angle.
I went with the EF mount as well.

Yeah, I think the C100 is the better deal money-wise, but the C300 is a much better camera.

Exactly why I went for the C100. Congratulations on the new C300.
