[FS: General] 2012 Mercedes Sprinter Crew Van in Atlanta

2012 Mercedes Benz Sprinter 170 2500 Crew Van

The "Ultimate Cameraman Van" is for sale. I customized and worked out of this van for the last 4 years, but most of my work is out of the airport now and I don't use the van like I used to. Rear is customized for two filmtools senior magliners so you can leave them loaded and roll off the ramp at location. Saves a ton of time unpacking and repacking at the job site. Filmtools carts are available separately if you want them...

Perfect van for road trips with the family, with room for a couple of 4-6 bicycles, 2 dirt bikes of 1 BMW GS sized motorcycle in the back.
Great tow vehicle, towed a 20’ boat on occasion.
Drives like a much smaller vehicle. If you haven’t driven one, they’re super well mannered on the road and feels very much like driving a Mercedes.
This would be a good candidate to convert to a stealth camping van

We’ve traveled and worked in this van from Key West up into Canada, but I’m not working like I used to, so it’s time to let this go.

Asking $28,500

To load up a new sprinter with comparable equipment you'd be at $65,000-$70,000. This one is just barely broken in by Mercedes diesel standards.

This looks beautiful. Was going to wait until after the new year for a new vehicle but will think on this. I've always wondered if the maintenance/repair of Sprinters is expensive due to it being a Mercedes. Has that been the case during servicing?

Maintenance has been fine for me because I've got a really good non dealership mechanic. He runs almost all of the freight and expediter sprinters in the southeast through his shop, charges a fair price and still makes a good living. It hasn't given me any problems beyond the basics of oil changes, and tire rotations. But it does burn through light bulbs like a sailer fresh off the boat goes through liquor drinks.
