OTHER: 2011 Cinematography Reel

Matt,

Very nice stuff. I especially liked the the scenes that seemed to be from a movie with Asian characters (women with umbrella, young man driving at night) and I recognize a shot from the Sundance promo you did as well as some other familiar faces so I don't know if I've seen the projects previously or not.

Can you break down how much of that was HVX/RED etc. percentage wise?

Again, nice stuff.

At least 3 of the projects on there have not been released. Most of the shorts have played a few festivals but nothing major.
 
Looks like some big projects in there, along with some semi-celebs (one girl from She's Out of My League), and they look great. My question is do you really need a demo reel critique from DVx?

I really like it! Incredibly beautiful imagery.

I would like just a few more lit shots (interiors or ext night). You have a ton of exterior day, and as a Director I feel a DP's main job is to light the set (because I don't know if on all those outdoor shots the director picked the framing and you only set exposure). But dont go too long, I like the shorter length.

This reel definitely makes me go "I'd love to work with this guy"
 
I love your work. It's very clean, smooth and nostalgic. My favourite shot is the one at 0:45. Would you mind telling me how you lit that scene?
Seriously, this is absolutely inspirational.
 
The scene at :45 outside the store I had a 200 watt hmi on a block battery back edging them bounced into a silver reflector for their key. Thats it.
